Girls Badminton Training Sessions We’ve been ha

Girls Badminton Training Sessions

We’ve been having badminton training sessions as part of our girls Youth Centre. Through weekly practical lessons, the girls have been learning the rules and principals of playing badminton and improving their ability to play well.

These fun and engaging sessions have been great to keep the girls occupied during the weekends and also improve their physical and mental health.

Our recent Mothers & Daughters Pampering Evening was nothing short of magical!

The event brought together innovative ways to celebrate self-care and family bonding, allowing mothers to get “hands-on” once again as they pampered their now-grown daughters. The room was filled with laughter, heartfelt conversations, and a strong sense of community connection.

The evening was such a success that participants couldn’t wait for more – even before the event ended, they requested another session! We’re thrilled to announce that the next Mothers & Daughters gathering will take place on 15 December, with a focus on family health through sports. Stay tuned for more details soon!

Celebrating International Men’s Day with Our Men’s Hub

This International Men’s Day, our Men’s Hub is proud to honour and celebrate men in South Asian communities. We strongly believe in empowering men by:

1. raising awareness of men’s health: We aim to highlight critical issues such as mental health, physical wellbeing, and the stigma surrounding seeking help, especially in South Asian communities.
2. acknowledging positive role models: This day provides an opportunity to recognise and celebrate the contributions of men as fathers, brothers, mentors, and community leaders.
3. promoting inclusivity and support: By addressing challenges such as cultural pressures and societal expectations, we work towards creating a safe space where men feel supported and heard.

Yuvanis’s Men’s Hub is committed to empowering South Asian men by building a community that supports personal growth, wellbeing, and open dialogue. Through workshops, peer support, and cultural understanding, we aim to break barriers, challenge stereotypes, and build stronger, healthier communities.

With these sessions being the first of its kind for the community in Shaw, we’re honoured to be able to support and build the resilience, confidence, and skills of the marginalised community that live there.
