Our lovely ladies in Shaw have been busy practicing embroidery, sewing, and patchwork, creating some truly beautiful pieces along the way. It’s wonderful to see everyone sharing skills, enjoying great company, and having a chat over a cup of tea.

Well done to everyone involved – your hard work and creativity have produced some fantastic results!

Family Fun Day

It’s that time of the year and Chadderton Together have organised the Annual Chadderton Day.

It’s a weekend filled with theatre, family fun, and activities in the park, and the whole of Oldham is invited.

To help you and your family get to the event easier, Yuvanis Foundation will be providing a FREE SHUTTLE service from and to Yuvanis Foundation, Middleton Road, OL9 6JN on Saturday 18 July, 11am-4pm.

Pickup and drop-off points will be:
- Yuvanis Foundation, Middleton Road, Oldham, OL9 6JN
- ⁠Foxdenton Park entrance

Just wait at any of these locations and hop on when you see the Yuvanis Bus. Please expect to wait upto 20 minutes when you arrive.

Our Kids Play Scheme gave many children their very first gardening experience, planting, learning, and even enjoying strawberry picking. Starting young helps nurture a love for nature while connecting children with our heritage, culture, and the great outdoors.

The girls showed great patience and creativity, carefully stitching their designs and adding colourful beads to decorate them. A big well done to all the girls who took part—you should all be very proud of your fantastic creations!

Our girls made this.

Last night, we attended the launch of Khushi Festival at @oldham_libraries — and we couldn’t be more proud.

Our girls youth club worked with a professional artist to design and craft their own kites — and those kites are now part of a stunning Waterfall of Kites display, hanging in one of Oldham’s most prominent public venues for everyone to see.

What made this extra special?

The artist they worked with looks like them.

Representation matters. When a young woman from our community works alongside a professional who shares her background, something shifts. Ambition grows. Belonging grows.

And now their work is displayed publicly in the heart of their own town.

A huge thank you to @womenschaiproject and @oldhamcoliseum for putting together such a beautiful, meaningful project.

This is what happens when our young people are given space, support, and the chance to shine.

The programme is fully funded, free to attend, with free snacks provided and travel costs covered.

Our children have been having a wonderful time exploring their creativity through a variety of arts and crafts activities. From painting and drawing to creating unique handmade projects, these activities have encouraged imagination, teamwork, and self-expression.

It has been inspiring to see their creativity come to life while they learn new skills, build confidence, and most importantly, have fun together.
